Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Mind Tether is in early access. These terms cover how you can use it during that phase. They're written in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email info@mind-tether.com before you sign up.
1Who we are
"Mind Tether," "we," "us," and "our" refer to [ENTITY]. "Service" means the Mind Tether website, web dashboard, mobile and watch apps, and any related software or hardware we make available to you.
2Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy statement. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
If you're using Mind Tether on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
3Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account.
- Provide accurate information. One account per person is enough.
- You're responsible for keeping your password, OAuth sessions, and any recovery contacts secure. Tell us right away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
4Early-access caveats
During early access the Service is offered to a limited group of testers. You should expect:
- Rough edges. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
- Possible data resets. We'll avoid them where we can and warn you where we can't, but we can't promise your data will persist across every deploy while the product is still stabilising.
- No uptime guarantee. We aim to keep the Service available but there's no SLA during early access.
- No support obligation. We'll do our best to help via info@mind-tether.com, but response times aren't guaranteed.
If any of this is a deal-breaker for you, we'd rather you wait for the public launch.
5Your content
The content you put into Mind Tether stays yours. You grant us the limited licence we need to store it, sync it to your devices, and display it back to you (and to anyone you've chosen to share with inside the app). That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You're responsible for what you put in — don't upload anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything you don't have permission to share.
6Storage and recovery
Your content lives on our servers so it can sync between your devices. We protect it with HTTPS in transit and authenticated access controls at rest. See our Privacy statement for the details. If you lose access to your account, email us and we'll work with you to recover it.
7Acceptable use
While using Mind Tether, you agree not to:
- Break any law, infringe anyone's rights, or harass or harm other users.
- Try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where that right can't legally be waived.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service beyond what the official clients do.
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or other unwanted content to anyone.
- Impersonate another person or provide false identifying information.
8Third-party services
Mind Tether uses third-party sign-in providers (Google and Apple). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the bits of your interaction that happen on their systems. We don't control those services and can't promise they'll stay available.
9Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing info@mind-tether.com. Deletion removes the ciphertext of your content along with your account row; because we never held the plaintext, there is no decrypted copy to leave behind.
We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if keeping your account active would put the Service or other users at risk. We'll give you notice where we reasonably can.
We may also end the early-access programme — with or without launching a public version — at our discretion.
10Not medical, legal, or financial advice
Mind Tether helps you remember things. It is not a medical device and should not be relied on for any reminder where a missed or delayed notification could cause harm. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical, legal, or financial advice.
11Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers; where that's the case, the ones they don't allow don't apply to you, but everything else still does.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, neither Mind Tether nor anyone acting on its behalf is liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service won't exceed the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £100.
Nothing in this section limits liability we can't legally exclude — for example, liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law says can't be waived.
13Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms if something material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of the page moves each time. For significant changes we'll also give you notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
14Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms will be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION], except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
